About Embodied Illumination

Embodied Illumination is a Colorado-based organization offering psychotherapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, psychedelic preparation and integration, professional supervision and consultation, education, coaching, community-based learning, writing, research, and emerging programs.

Different services are governed by different professional, legal, ethical, and contractual requirements.

These Terms apply to use of the public website.

They do not replace any informed-consent document, professional disclosure statement, coaching agreement, supervision agreement, training agreement, service contract, medical consent, or other agreement that may apply to a specific relationship or service.

Website content is educational

The information on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes.

Content related to trauma, mental health, ketamine, psychedelic medicine, chronic illness, nervous system regulation, relationships, professional practice, or other health-related subjects is not individualized medical, psychological, psychiatric, or legal advice.

Reading this website does not create a therapist-client, physician-patient, supervisor-supervisee, consultant-client, coach-client, or other professional relationship.

A professional relationship begins only after the appropriate screening, agreements, informed consent, and other required steps have been completed.

No emergency or crisis services

This website is not monitored for emergencies.

Clinical services

Psychotherapy and other regulated clinical services are provided only within applicable professional licensure, scope-of-practice, and geographic requirements.

Availability of a service may depend on your physical location, clinical needs, medical status, professional relationship, and the credentials of the person providing care.

Information describing a particular service on this website does not guarantee that the service is clinically appropriate or available to every person.

Clinical treatment decisions are individualized.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy

Embodied Illumination may provide psychotherapeutic preparation, therapeutic support, and integration related to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

Ketamine is a prescription medication.

Medical screening, prescribing, dosing, and medical monitoring are handled by appropriately licensed medical professionals.

Information about ketamine on this website is educational and should not be interpreted as a personal recommendation to use ketamine or as a guarantee of a particular outcome.

Individual eligibility requires appropriate clinical and medical evaluation.

Psychedelic information, preparation + integration

Embodied Illumination provides education, preparation, integration, and related professional services within applicable law and professional scope.

Information on this website about psychedelics, altered states, or natural medicine does not constitute encouragement to engage in illegal activity.

Embodied Illumination does not provide or assist users in obtaining illegal substances.

Laws, professional standards, and regulatory frameworks related to psychedelic and natural medicines continue to evolve. Information on the site may therefore change as the legal and professional landscape changes.

Coaching + nonclinical services

Some Embodied Illumination offerings may be provided as coaching, consultation, education, community participation, or another nonclinical service.

These services do not establish a psychotherapy relationship unless a separate clinical relationship has expressly been created.

Coaching and educational services are not substitutes for mental health treatment, medical care, psychiatric care, or crisis services.

The nature and scope of any service will be identified through the applicable agreement or informed-consent process.

Supervision + professional consultation

Supervision and consultation offered through Embodied Illumination are intended to support professional development, clinical thinking, ethical reflection, and practice within a participant's existing scope.

Participants remain responsible for understanding and following the laws, regulations, ethical standards, documentation requirements, and licensing rules governing their own practice.

Consultation does not transfer responsibility for a client's care to Embodied Illumination or to the consultant.

Unless specifically contracted as formal supervision, participation in a consultation, educational group, or professional community does not satisfy licensure supervision requirements.

Education + professional training

Embodied Illumination may offer workshops, courses, cohorts, training programs, educational materials, community events, consultation groups, and other forms of professional learning.

Participation in an educational offering does not independently grant a professional license, certification, clinical competency, authorization to practice, or expanded scope of practice.

Participants are responsible for applying information within their own education, training, credentials, competence, professional ethics, and applicable law.

If continuing education credit, certification, or another formal designation is available for a particular program, that information will be stated specifically for that offering.

The Encounter Lab + community spaces

The Encounter Lab and other professional community offerings may include discussion, case reflection, experiential learning, relational exploration, and peer dialogue.

These spaces are intended for education and professional development.

Participants are responsible for protecting client confidentiality and following the ethical and legal requirements governing their own professions.

Participation does not create a psychotherapy relationship with Embodied Illumination or with other participants.

Firekeeper language

Embodied Illumination uses the term Firekeeper to describe a philosophy of professional presence in transformative and vulnerable healing work.

Firekeeper is an organizational and educational term.

It is not a state-issued license, certification, regulated professional credential, or authorization to provide any particular clinical, medical, or psychedelic service.

No guarantees

Human healing, professional development, and psychedelic experiences are highly individual.

Embodied Illumination does not guarantee specific psychological, medical, professional, financial, relational, spiritual, or other outcomes from use of this website or participation in any service.

Descriptions of possible benefits, experiences, or areas of growth are educational and should not be interpreted as promises of individual results.

Testimonials + individual experiences

If testimonials, personal stories, case illustrations, or descriptions of individual experiences appear on this website, they reflect individual experiences.

They do not represent typical or guaranteed results.

Clinical examples may be altered, combined, de-identified, or presented as composites when appropriate to protect privacy.
